Summer 2024 Position

Middle School Young Scholars Teacher

Description: Provides and is accountable for the planning, assessment, instruction, communication, human relations, safety, and management of the classroom; assists with other duties assigned by the administration; collaborates with other summer program teachers to plan and facilitate Project-based Learning and student reflection through Portrait of Graduate Presentations of Learning; supports FCPS mission to "inspire, enable, and empower students to meet high academic standards, lead ethical lives, and demonstrate responsible citizenship." Attends all face-to-face or virtual training provided prior to and during the session.   

Qualifications: Must hold a license issued by the Virginia Department of Education plus one (1) year of middle school teaching experience. Experience working with Young Scholars or Project-Based Learning, preferred. 

Sites: Carson, Longfellow, Whitman, Liberty, Franklin, Hayfield SS, Jackson

Dates: 7/1 – 7/26
