Employee recognition is a major component of two of the four goals of Ignite, FCPS' strategic plan. Employee recognition aligns with Ignite's goals of "Creating a Caring Culture" and "Ensuring a Premier Workforce".

We value our employees and recognize them in many different ways. Employee recognition specifically recognizes staff through our Outstanding Employee Awards program, our Excellence Awards program, our retirement ceremony, FCPS Cares, and other ways of employee appreciation.

FCPS CARES

FCPS CARES is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care.

Outstanding Employee Awards Liaisons

Outstanding Employee Awards liaisons are at each work location in FCPS. Contact the respective awards liaison for information about nominating an employee at that particular work location.

Retirement Ceremony

FCPS recognizes its retirees with a beautiful catered ceremony. Each retiree is also recognized with a gift for his or her service, and is thanked by members of the FCPS Leadership Team as well as members of the School Board.
