E-IFTA Is Back Next Summer!
We are already planning for next summer, and details will be posted here in February 2021.
The Program - Summer 2021
E-IFTA is a weekly arts camp for elementary aged students who love to sing, dance, act, perform, make, and create. Students take part in four classes every day related to dance, music, theatre, and visual art. They work with FCPS fine arts teachers who create classes that are fun and engaging.
Open to students in grades 2-5 during the 2021-22 school year.
All students are welcome:
- FCPS students.
- Students enrolled in private schools.
- Students who are homeschooled.
- Non-Fairfax County residents.
Classes and Daily Schedule
Students have four classes every day. There is one 70 minute class in dance, music, theatre, and visual art every day.
Students will have a 30-minute lunch break every day.
FCPS Food Services provides lunch for a fee or students may bring a lunch from home. FCPS students can use their school accounts or pay with cash. School lunch accounts are unable to be loaded during the summer program. If students plan to buy lunch parents should add enough for each day of camp. Non-FCPS students can pay with cash.
Starting mid-June (specific date TBD), view the lunch menu by school location. Vending machines are available.
There is bus transportation from select FCPS high schools and middle schools outside of the Fairfax High School pyramid. Transportation to and from these schools is the responsibility of the parent/guardian. Transportation information will be communicated to families prior to the start of the program.
Extended Day Classes
Adult and Community Education (ACE) offers academic and enrichment classes at Fairfax High School from 2:30-5:30 p.m. after E-IFTA ends for the day. These classes are an extra cost, and student pick-up at 5:30 p.m. is the responsibility of the parent.
