A Work-Life Benefit for Employees and Their Household Members

Planning for a major life event, personal issues, or simply managing daily life can impact your health, family, and work performance. The Employee Assistance Program (EAP), provided by Guidance Resources, is a work-life benefit for employees and their household members. Guidance Resources provides support, resources, and information for personal and work-life issues, legal and financial consultations, and short-term counseling.

EAP services are 100% confidential and free to employees and their household members. Services can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year. Enrollment is automatic, and no paperwork needs to be filled out!

More than just counseling, here are some of the additional services that may be accessed through Guidance Resources:

  • Confidential counseling in areas such as stress, anxiety and depression, relationship/marital conflicts, problems with children, job pressures, grief and loss, and substance abuse.
  • Financial resources and information in areas such as getting out of debt, credit card or loan problems, tax questions, estate planning, and saving for college.
  • Legal support and resources in areas such as divorce, family law, debt bankruptcy, landlord/tenant issues, real estate transactions, civil and criminal actions, and contracts.
  • Work-life solutions in areas such as child and elder care, moving and relocation, making major purchases, college planning, pet care, and home repair.

A full list of EAP resources for current staff members can be found on the FCPS Employee Hub. Employees can direct questions to [email protected]
