The Brookfield Elementary School project was identified according to the Renovation Queue, approved in 2009. Brookfield ES is ranked 47 of 63 schools in the queue. Planning and design for the project was funded by the 2021 bond, with construction expected to be funded by the 2023 bond.  The completed project will provide modern amenities and add add approximately 17,900 to the building.
