My digital Kaiser Member ID Card has a Cigna logo on the front of the card. What does this mean?

Kaiser has an agreement with Cigna for care options while traveling. This agreement allows members to visit any Cigna PPO Network provider for urgent/emergency care services while on travel and outside of a state with Kaiser Permanente facilities.

If you receive in-person urgent/emergency care while on travel outside of the Kaiser area but within a state with Kaiser Permanente facilities, you will be asked to pay the full cost of your care upfront and will need to file a claim with Kaiser for reimbursement. [States with Kaiser facilities: CA, CO, GA, HI, MD, OR, VA, WA, and DC].

For questions about urgent / emergency care options while on travel, please visit kp.org/travel or call the Away from Home Travel Line at 951-268-3900.

As a reminder, Kaiser members should continue to receive care at Kaiser Permanente facilities while in the Kaiser Permanente service area.
