Given the unique circumstances of the 2020-21 school year, essential standards by grade and by course have been identified as the most critical content students will learn by the end of the school year.

Middle School Advanced Academic Programs (AAP)

Fairfax County Public Schools provides a continuum of advanced academic services at the middle school level. Services provided to middle school students include Young Scholars, Honors classes, Level IV services, and the International Baccalaureate® (IB) Middle Years Program (MYP). 

Middle School Career and Technical Education (CTE)

A core program of Career and Technical Education courses is offered in every middle school.

College Success Program

The College Success Program includes four individual programs that provide college readiness, access, and success services to students who are traditionally underrepresented on college campuses.
