3rd GRADE READING

FCPS is committed to making sure all students read at grade level by the end of third grade. Studies show that reading proficiency by the end of third grade can be a critical benchmark in projecting a child's educational development and future success.

8th GRADE ALGEBRA PARTICIPATION

FCPS aims to increase the diverse representation of students who access Algebra by the end of eighth grade. Earlier participation in Algebra allows students additional time to take higher level math courses.

ON-TIME GRADUATION RATE

FCPS is committed to providing programs and supports to make sure all students graduate on time and are college and career ready. Graduation is the culmination of a student's entire K-12 educational experience, representing success in both academic and social-emotional development.

AP/IB PARTICIPATION AND PERFORMANCE

FCPS aims to ensure all students have access to rigorous coursework that prepares them for college and career. The Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) programs are challenging academic opportunities designed to provide high school students with access to college-level academic courses.
