First-grade teacher Abir Saah receives her retirement after 36 years of service in FCPS, all at Camelot Elementary School.

The Annual FCPS Retirement Ceremony was held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. We recognized 165 FCPS retirees on this evening!

We Honor You is the formal FCPS retirement event. FCPS holds a reception and ceremony to recognize the service of our retiring employees. This catered event is held at one of our centrally located schools and is attended by the retirees along with their family and friends, members of the FCPS Leadership Team, and School Board. Each retiree is formally recognized during the ceremony; they have a brief profile read about them by a member of the Leadership Team as they receive their retirement gift and pose for a professional picture with the Superintendent. As they return to their seat, they are congratulated personally by members of the FCPS School Board.
