FCPS’ Parent Resource Center has changed its name to the Family Resource Center (FRC). This change recognizes the diversity of families that the division serves, and  “acknowledges families in a more inclusive way,” says Renee LaHuffman-Jackson, coordinator of Family and School Partnerships. “One of the goals of the FRC is to partner with any adult who plays a significant role in a student’s life. We know that these adults play a critical role in their student’s success.”  

The FRC continues to offer a wide range of essential resources and education for caregivers, educators, and students including:

• Upcoming Webinars on topics related to children and education,

• More than 250 Workshops and Webinars Available on YouTube,

• Digital Resources,

• Library (more than 10,000 resources available), 

• Free Consultations.

Last year, the Family Resource Center served more than 7,500 families, school staff, and community members. The office has been serving families for more than 25 years.
