Great Beginnings Summer Institute
- UConnect
- Access employee self-service portal for human resources and payroll information.
- Onboarding
- Review and complete pre-employment forms (including insurance information) and activities, which include retrieving your username and employee identification number.
- Employee Identification Badges
- Employee identification badges will be delivered to base schools. Please contact your principal or the school’s main office to arrange for a badge pick up.
- Laptop Computers
- Contact the Technology Specialist (TSpec) or the school-based technology specialist (SBTS) at your base school to schedule a time to pick up your laptop. These contacts can be found on the staff directory of your school website.
- Licensure
- Receive guidance and assistance related to FCPS additional salary requests and VDOE-issued licensure requirements and processes (application for initial licensure, renewal of an expired license, VA licensure assessment requirements, adding new endorsements, etc.).
- Benefits-at-a-Glance
- Locate benefits information for our current employees, such as health and dental insurance plans, retirement savings plans, flexible spending accounts, and our disability and leaves information under the integrated disability management program.
- Employee Wellness Program, including the Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
- Payroll Management
- Access information such as forms related to state taxes, sick leave accrual, direct deposit, take-home pay, payroll deductions, and change of address.
- Red Rover (Substitute Management System)
- Use Red Rover to set up your profile and schedule substitute coverage.
- Substitute Employee Resources
- MyTime
- Login to our online system to enter your time and attendance.
- View additional resources regarding time and attendance, such as deadlines, time off calendar, quick reference guide, and user manual on the FCPS Employee Hub.
- Salary Services
- Familiarize yourself with our salary scales, job specifications, and verification of employment.
- Employee Recognition Programs
- Check out some of the ways that we recognize our staff through formal programs such as Outstanding Employee Awards, Excellence Awards, and FCPS Cares.
- MyPDE
- Search our online professional development management system where employees are able to complete the step by step evaluation process, view and register for training and professional development opportunities, and access transcripts for tracking professional development hours.
- Employee Relations (OER)
- We provide consultation and support to FCPS employees, principals, administrators, and managers in all areas of performance management, including but not limited to employee evaluations and progressive discipline. OER responds to all complaints of discrimination based on a protected class; facilitates all ADA accommodations requests and oversees internal investigations and civil rights compliance.
Employees, Applicants, and Retirees
Submit questions or concerns, as well as upload forms and other documents through the FCPS StaffConnect portal. Human Resources representatives are also available for assistance Monday – Friday (8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) by calling 571-423-3000 or 1-800-831-4331.
