FCPS provides staff, materials, and program direction to school programs located at various sites that are administered and funded by other public agencies.

FCPS provides the educational programs and staff at Community Services Board (CSB) sites and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court (JDRDC).  However, FCPS cannot recommend placement to CSB or court sites.  Placement recommendations are made by court officials and CSB staff members.

Stepping Stones
Stepping Stones (formerly Boys Probation House) was established by the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court (JDRDC) for adolescent girls and boys under supervision by the court.  This post-dispositional residential placements program is highly structured and designed to reduce chronic delinquent behavior and emphasize the acceptance of personal responsibility by participants.  The FCPS academic component at this facility includes both traditional academic classes and GED® curriculum.  Students are enrolled in up to four core classes (English, math, science, and social studies) and at least one elective.  School staff members assess students formally and informally and develop individualized plans to ensure appropriate progress toward high school graduation.  Each student’s base school receives grades and educational reports throughout the duration of the student’s enrollment.  Length of stay in the program is determined on a case-by-case basis by JDRDC staff.
