Resources for Families and Students

Need information on online textbooks, emergency preparedness, parenting classes, or renting FCPS facilities through community use? FCPS has online resources for these topics and much more.

Is your group interested in using a school for a community meeting? Check the Community Use link below for details on how to reserve available space. Do you need information on financial aid for college, the gap year, or postsecondary education and the military? Check out the College and Career Planning page. Information on parenting classes, immigrant family reunification, or resources for military families can be found on the Family Engagement page, which also includes information on the parent liaison network that serves many of our schools.

Technology resources include information on Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), FCPS 24-7, the student information system (SIS), and Google Apps for education, as well as how to save money on computers and software via the Technology@Home program.

Learn how to reach the school division's 24-7 safety line as well as emergency preparedness background information, factors considered when deciding on a weather cancellation, and information on bus transportation on our Safety and Security page. If you want additional information on wellness, check out the Wellness page with info from food and nutrition services, mental health and resiliency resources, school health information, and how to reach social workers, psychologists, and counselors who serve the schools.
