Non-Discrimination Policy Statement
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) is committed to a learning and working environment free from all forms of discrimination. No person shall on the basis of, of race, sex, color, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, genetic information, pregnancy status, childbirth or related medical conditions, marital status, veteran status, and disability be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under, any education program or activity, as required by law. Retaliation against any person who reports or participates as a witness in the investigation of a discrimination and/or harassment complaint is strictly prohibited.
Filing a Complaint of Discrimination
To file a complaint of discrimination, you may contact the Office of Equity and Employee Relations (EER) directly at 571-423-3070, email us at [email protected], complete a complaint form, or put your concerns in writing. A complaint should be filed immediately following the event giving rise to the complaint but no later than one year after. Once completed, the form or letter should be forwarded to:

Upon receipt, EER staff will review your completed form or letter and contact you to finalize the process. Please be advised that by completing a form or letter of complaint and returning it, you have not filed a formal complaint as required under FCPS policy.
You can also fill out a complaint of discrimination using one of these two forms.
All complaints will be kept confidential except to the extent that limited disclosure may be necessary for the purpose of conducting a full and fair investigation, providing an opportunity for the accused to respond, taking remedial action, and responding to a government inquiry or legal action. The complainant, accused party(s), and appropriate administrative staff will be advised of the outcome of the investigation. FCPS policy prohibits retaliation against an individual for filing a complaint or participating in the complaint process.
