Summer 2024 Positions
Program Description
The Online Campus provides students with location and time flexibility for completing coursework. Courses are open to rising and current high school students who meet prerequisites and technical requirements. All middle school students who have completed a high school mathematics course may accelerate or earn credit recovery via the online campus. Students need to dedicate 35 hours each week to complete the course and cannot miss a week due to camps or vacations. Midterm, final exams, and, if applicable, the SOL and W!SE exam must be taken on the scheduled dates.
Online Campus Teacher
Description: Implements appropriate instructional methodology using Schoology and Zoom to facilitate learning in a virtual setting that combines direct teacher instruction and computer-based lessons and activities. Curriculum will be provided. Training provided prior to and during the program. These training sessions will be provided as face-to-face sessions.
Qualifications: Must hold a license issued by the Virginia Department of Education.
Online Campus Director of Student Services
Online Campus Director of Student Services - This Position Has Been Filled
Description: Serves as a member of the online summer program administrative staff and supervises the counselor, Student Information Assistant, registration and SOL test administration. Coordinates logistics for exams and SOL test administration at the summer test site; supervises synchronous evaluation sessions; assists students and parents with questions concerning the summer program; assists in attendance and discipline referrals; and performs other duties assigned by the administration program coordinator.
Qualifications: Must hold a license issued by the Virginia Department of Education with endorsement as a School Counselor, PreK-12. High School counselor experience, preferred. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Health & Physical Education Resource Teacher - This Position Has Been Filled
Description: Serves as the department chair for the Online Campus Health & Physical Education (HPE) program. Establishes courses; supports HPE teachers; distributes supplies to teachers and students; provides real-time technical support for teachers and students; oversees staff development for content issues; edits content package files; conducts synchronous online classes; maintains office hours to support students each day; attends face-to-face midterms; administers final exams; and duties assigned by administration.
Qualifications: Must hold a license issued by the Virginia Department of Education with endorsement in Health and Physical Education, PreK-12. Three (3) years of teaching experience in HPE 9 and/or 10, preferred. Experience in online teaching or completion of the FCPS Academy “Online Teaching” course, preferred.

Summer Learning Test Manager, Online Campus
Summer Learning Test Manager, Online Campus
Description: Leads the facilitation of WorkKeys Reading Workplace Documents, WorkKeys Business Writing, and SOL testing for summer Online Campus students. Collaborates with OAR staff to develop and oversee the test schedule; acquires needed materials; completes evaluation of test site(s); identifies testing rooms; communicate with Online Campus administrators, the test site(s) designee, and online teachers/staff; ensures the accurate coding of students; supports other sites as needed with organizing and creating test sessions, collecting student performance and accommodation information, administering tests, and reporting test scores; availability for in-person responsibilities. Completion of test administration training through the Office Assessment and Reporting (OAR) will be required.
Qualifications: Must hold a license issued by the Virginia Department of Education. Experience as a secondary assessment coach and/or school test coordinator, preferred.
