Things to Know or Do

  • Set routines to help prepare your child to be ready for school.
  • Talk to your child on a regular basis to improve their communication skills.
  • Getting along with others is a skill that makes the transition to kindergarten easier. 
  • Ten hours of sleep, frequent exercise, and good nutrition prepare your child for the rigor of kindergarten.
  • Allow your child to make choices, and explain to you why the choice was made.
