Aetna/Innovation Health

This plan is available to non-Medicare-eligible retirees.

This plan is a preferred provider plan that uses the strengths of two organizations, Aetna and Inova Health Systems. In addition to Inova facilities, the plan has a strong national network of physicians, hospitals and ancillary health care providers. Vision benefits are included with your medical coverage through Aetna Vision Preferred in partnership with EyeMed. Prescription benefits are also included with your medical coverage.

CareFirst Blue Choice Advantage

This plan is available to only non-Medicare eligible retirees/ dependents.

This plan functions as both a point-of-service (POS) and a preferred provider organization (PPO) plan. When receiving care within the CareFirst area, utilize providers in CareFirst's BlueChoice and BluePreferred PPO networks to receive in-network benefits. To receive in-network benefits when outside of CareFirst's service area, utilize a national BlueCard PPO provider. You also have the option to utilize your out-of-network benefits, but you will pay higher out-of-pocket costs. 

Vision benefits are included with your BlueChoice Advantage plan, and coverage is provided by Davis Vision. Prescription benefits are also include, and coverage is provided by CVS Caremark.

Kaiser Permanente

This plan is available to retirees who reside within the Kaiser Permanente/Kaiser Medicare service area.

The Kaiser Permanente Signature plan is a health maintenance organization (HMO) that provides care at Kaiser Permanente facilities located throughout Northern Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. Care received outside of the area is not covered, except for emergency and urgently needed care. Vision benefits are included in the plan and can be utilized at Kaiser Permanente OpticalCenters. Prescription coverage is also included and is provided by Kaiser Permanente.
