School assignment is determined by residence address. Visit the boundary (attendance area) locator to determine a school assignment for your address. School boundaries are reevaluated each year and may be adjusted. School boundary information is provided for the current school year only.  For any address located in a new development, contact the Office of Facilities Planning Services at 571-423-2320 to verify school assignment.

Boundary Maps

Countywide boundary maps can be viewed and printed through the Maps page, and can also be purchased for $12 from the Office of Facilities Planning Services, 8115 Gatehouse Road, Falls Church, Virginia 22042.

Individual school boundary maps can be viewed and printed through the Schools and Centers Directory.

Proposed Boundary Adjustments

For boundary adjustments, the Division Superintendent is directed to consider the need to make adjustments governed by School Board Policy 8130.

The Fairfax County School Board began discussions regarding Policy 8130 in 2018.  Learn more about the boundary policy review.

Priority recommended boundary adjustment options and program changes are included in the annual Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for future consideration only.
