Fairfax County Public Schools is launching the Partnership Update to highlight the wonderful partners in our community.

In this monthly update, we will share stories and videos about the partners supporting our students and schools.

We will also help new partners engage our schools and existing ones improve and grow.

School Board Recognizes Businesses

The Fairfax County School Board honored three business partners at its June 24 board meeting for their student-focused support of students during the pandemic.

Capital Area Food Bank, Cox Communications/Business, and Synetic Theater are 2021 Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) Business Honor Roll recipients.

FCPS is proud to recognize these three organizations for their support of our students.

Call Us.  We’re Open For Business and Community Partners.

Fairfax County Public Schools remains hopeful that volunteers will be able to engage students in-person beginning in the fall of 2021 - with safety measures in place.  If not in-person, we remain open for business and community partners to engage virtually too.  Our Ignite Partnership program offers businesses and community partners eight valuable ways to engage:

  1. Mentoring
  2. Tutoring
  3. Need-Based Donations
  4. Workforce Development (Includes STEM/STEAM)
  5. Arts
  6. Get2Green (Environmental)
  7. Health and Wellness
  8. Financial Gifts

Amplify the Importance of School—Our Come Back Campaign

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) is conducting a communications campaign to welcome students back to our school buildings for five days of in-person learning in the fall.

We are asking partners to post a Welcome Back to FCPS photo or video message to your social media and use the hashtag #FCPSReturningStrong.

Just an idea--but feel free to take a photo next to one of the many signs you will see at schools as part of our 5 in Fall/Come Back campaign. The video can be as short as 10-15 seconds.

We’re collecting the posts and will share them in an FCPS video on our website.

Please use this link for information on how to shoot video on a phone.

We believe your amplification offers a collective community message that demonstrates to the community that we’re "Returning Strong" together.  Thank you for your support.

It's Our Turn to Say Thank You

Thank you Wolf Trap and the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts for inviting more than 400 FCPS teachers and educators to enjoy a free performance by the National Orchestral Institute Philharmonic.
You selected a beautiful summer evening to say thank you to educators for their tireless work during the 2020-21 school year.
