Fairview Receives Honors for Wellness and Excellence

Fairview Elementary School has been recognized as a high-performing school by Governor Timothy Kaine and the Virginia Board of Education. The 2009 Governor's Award for Educational Excellence is the highest honor under the Virginia Index of Performance Program of the VDOE. Fairview Elementary School has also been listed as one of The Washington Post's Top 100 Schools in the Metropolitan DC area and has received the FCPS Gold Award for Wellness. This top-tier award recognizes elementary and secondary schools that focus on wellness in their school and community.
