Thoreau Matters April 21st

Make The Cut
Tuesday, April 12th was very special for 24 Thoreau students! These students donated over 8 inches of their hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, a charity campaign in association with the American Cancer Society, which encourages people to grow, cut and donate their healthy hair to create real-hair wigs for women who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment. Cosmetology students at Marshall Academy cut and styled the girls’ hair. Thank you to these students for donating to such a wonderful cause.

THe Thoreau PTA would like to invite current and future Thoreau parents to view Screenagers on Wednesday, May 11 at 7pm. This new documentary looks at the various facets of online life: screen time, cyberbullying, sexting, gaming, and more. For more information please read the article in Thoreau Matters.
