Catch Your Child Reading This Summer
By Mrs. Forman
![]() |
One of the joys of summer is choosing whatever book or magazine that intrigues you and enjoying it on a hammock, at the pool, in a tree house, on the family couch, or wherever you find yourself in July and August. This summer, we are asking our Terraset parents to "catch your child reading," and take a photo to send to us at TerrasetReads@gmail.com or by mail to |

What did you learn this year in second grade?
Miss Sasson's class tells us
Miss Sasson's second graders recap the year by creating PhotoStories. Each student had to write a sentence about what they learned about in each of the four core subjects: mathematics, language arts, science, and social studies. Students then created their PhotoStories and selected a picture that made a connection to their writing. |

Math Superstars Celebrate at Outback Steakhouse
By Mrs. Sogandares
![]() |
Math Superstars is Terraset's math enrichment program run by a very committed team of PTA volunteers. During the school year, students in Grades 1-6 receive weekly math worksheets containing about 7-8 word problems that challenge a student to read carefully and critically, think logically, and apply advanced math principles to a variety of situations. While the worksheets are intended to complement the curricular focus of each grade, the problems are more advanced applications of what children are learning in the classroom. This program provides a meaningful and worthwhile enrichment to the existing curriculum. |
