Bring Your Own Device
Fairfax County Public Schools has introduced an exciting new initiative encouraging students to "bring your own device" to school. Terraset ES is embracing this initiative and encouraging students to bring in their personal computing devices to be used in the classroom. These devices include e-readers, tablets, laptops, and netbooks. Participation in this initiative is completely optional and no students will be denied equal educational opportunities should they not have or bring in their own device.
Students should FIRST check with their teachers if they are interested in bringing in their own devices, as each teacher will be able to advise them about when and for what they might need to use the personal device in class.
BEFORE being allowed to use a personal device in school, parents must complete this online registration form and students MUST bring in a signed permission form. (NOTE: Only the last 2 pages of the Personal Device Information & Permission Form need to be brought into school.) Before devices can be used at school they must be registered by the technology staff.
