WELCOME

J.E.B. Stuart High School was founded in 1959 as a public school within Fairfax County Public Schools. The school was named after the famous confederate cavalry leader, J.E.B. Stuart and was given the "Raiders" as their team mascot with colors of red, white, and navy blue. In 2001, National Geographic Magazine ran a cover story focusing on the changing demographics at Stuart and why the racial barrier is not an issue. In 2004, President George W. Bush chose Stuart as a place to speak about education and how Stuart is a place that is improving the educational boundaries.
