  • The last day to make SLHS course selection changes is May 1st --- All student and parent requested changes in course selections for the 2013-2014 school year must be made by May 1st. Parents/Guardians, please make sure your child has shared their course selections for next year with you. Students were provided a copy during academic advising, and a second copy arrived with the 3rd quarter report card. After May 1st, counselors will not be able to make changes requested by students and parents. If students are still waiting for a teacher to change their recommendation for an Honors/AP/IB course, students should speak to them now. These adjustments must be made by May 1st as well.

  • The seahawk community is coming together to support our own Dan Smith in his fight against cancer. Show your support by bringing in spare change for the donation boxes which are set up around the school. See flyer for details.

  • Students interested in taking the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) at South Lakes in April should see Ms. Burke in the Career Center.  If you are considering going into the military – or would like to take a test that helps identify your strengths and interests -- you will need to take this.

  • Student transfer information and forms are now available online. Students who intend to transfer to SLHS to enter the IB Program will need to fill out this IB Registration Worksheet and Planning Guide.

  • Senior dues are now being collected. Dues are now $60. Cash or checks, made payable to SLHS with the student's name on the memo line, can be turned into Ms. Armstrong in the senior subschool. See the Class News page for additional graduation information.

  • Attention ALL Students:  Updated lists of student fines are posted in all subschools. If you have questions, please see Mrs. Lukehart in the Finance Office.
