Welcome to Armstrong Elementary School

Armstrong Elementary School is an award winning school. The Fairfax County Public Schools Wellness Task Force is pleased to inform you that Armstrong Elementary School has been awarded the Gold Apple Wellness Award for the 2011-2012 school year. This is the second consecutive year that Armstrong has been awared the Golden Apple. This awared is the first tier in the G.O.L.D.E.N. Wellness Series (Giving Others Lifelong Desire for Exercise and Nutrition)

    • School Testing Calendar

    Window 2 eCART Division-wide Assessments (Feb. 6th-24th)- Students in grades 3-6 will take the Language Arts and Mathematics assessments.  Please view your child's grade level Blackboard site for testing dates as they will soon be posted.

    Writing SOL- 5th grade students will be taking the Writing SOL test.  This test has two components: multiple choice and direct writing.  In order to obtain a score, your child must complete both components.  At Armstrong, the multiple choice test will be Tuesday, March 6th.  The direct writing test will be Wednesday, March 7th.  An informational letter will be coming home on Tuesday, February 7th.
