Summer Reading Programs Summary

Chantilly Reads

The schools in the Chantilly Pyramid with the support of the Chantilly Pyramid Literacy Team are excited to be working together to present the “Chantilly READS Challenge”!  Our goal is to promote a love of reading and support independent reading at all grade levels in all schools in the Chantilly Pyramid.  The reading challenge is open to all K-12 students and staff members.  Students and staff will log their individual reading minutes using a Google form.  Our goal is to read 5,000,000 minutes from March 2016 through February 2017.
All participants will be able to access and log their reading minutes ONLINE!  The Chantilly READS Challenge link below can be used to enter and track reading minutes:

For those families who are requesting prearranged absences for their children, FCPS now has a form for parents to complete before the absences occur. Please find the form at the link here: . When plans are made, please fill out the form as soon as possible and return to your student’s teacher.  One form is needed for each student.  You still need to inform your teacher and the attendance line by email of the student’s absence.
