Lawrence Walker, Franklin's Retired Band Director, honored by School Board
Franklin's Music Hall was dedicated to Lawrence Walker at the May 9 School Board meeting. Mr. Walker retired from Franklin MS last year after a long and distinguished career as our Band Director.
Bike Racks at Franklin
We are pleased to announce that starting May 8, racks for up to 40 bikes will be available for students who wish to bike to school. Students will be required to walk their bikes on school grounds, have a helmet, and lock their bikes to the rack. Franklin Band and Orchestra Camp
Registration for the Franklin Band and Orchestra camp is now open! Camp will run from June 24 - July 18, Monday - Friday (no camp July 4 or 5). Highlights include sectionals with instrumental specialists; special classes for beginning band and strings students; and a concert performance featuring all performance groups. Reminder! All visitors to the building must report directly to the main office upon arrival.
Late buses are currently scheduled for Mondays at 4:15, and Wednesdays & Thursdays at 5:15.
