Rising 7th Grade Students

SIS Parent Accounts
FCPS is providing SIS parent accounts to each parent of a student at our school. This enables access to view your student's attendance, report card grades, and additional information, establishing another form of communication between home and school. SIS letters have been mailed with instructions for activating your parent account. Please view this short video which contains additional information. If you have further questions, please contact Franklin during normal school hours.
Let's Talk College!
Have you heard about the increasingly competitive college application process? Want to know how to prepare your child?
On Monday, March 23 at 7pm, Chantilly High School Student Services will offer a "Let's Talk College!" program for middle school and 9th grade students and their families in the Chantilly HS Auditorium. This program will review the concept of a four-year plan for high school and what colleges consider in the admissions process. Students and families are urged to attend. "Bullying, Cyberbullying, and Youth Depression"
Please join us at Rocky Run Middle School at 7:00pm on Wednesday, April 29 for a presentation by Mr. John Halligan. Mr. Halligan will share the personal story of his son Ryan, along with strategies for dealing with bullying, cyberbullying, and teen depression. 2nd Annual Community Conversation on Teen Stress
You are invited to attend the 2nd Annual Community Conversation on Teen Stress, offered through collaboration between FCPS, Fairfax County government, and the community. Born to Run Memorial 5K and Family Fun Run
Franklin Middle School will be hosting the 2nd Annual Born to Run Memorial 5K and Family Fun Run on Saturday, June 6th at 8:30am. This year's event is sponsored by the Franklin MS PTA. Proceeds will be donated to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Northern Virginia, with a portion going toward the purchase of patio umbrellas for our FMS students. Awards and Recognitions
Franklin Middle School is the proud recipient of the 2013 Board of Education Distinguished Achievement Award.
FMS Custodial Staff was recently honored with the distinction of Custodial Staff of the Year, 2012-13, and a Certificate of Recognition for outstanding building and grounds maintenance, 2012-13.
