Eric McCann has been the executive principal for Region 5 since 2018. McCann is a dedicated professional educator who brings a wealth of  teaching and leadership experience to the position to include:  principal of Frost Middle School, director of Cluster 7 Schools,  assistant principal of Liberty Middle School, and teacher of history and civics.

McCann has established himself as a leader who works collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure success for all students by developing engaging, equitable, warm safe and inviting school environments.  He builds strong relationships with all stakeholders and implements best instructional practices.

McCann earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government from the College of William and Mary, and a Master’s Degree in Education and Administration and Leadership certification from George Mason University.
