Bettrys Huffman was appointed as director of the Office of Student Testing in April 2017. In this role, she oversees distribution, administration, analysis, and reporting for mandated tests and other performance indicators identified at the federal, state, and division levels.

Prior to this role, Huffman served as a classroom teacher, curriculum resource teacher, instructional coach, educational specialist, and Title I coordinator. Her experience includes work at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.

Huffman earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Westminster College, a master’s degree in elementary education from Missouri State University, and an education specialist’s degree in reading education from the University of Virginia.
