Administration

Dana Walker - Secondary Principal 

Dana Walker is the Virtual Program’s secondaryDana Walker program administrator. While fulfilling this role, Dana is on leave from his position as an assistant principal at South County High School. Dana has also been an assistant principal at South Lakes High School and an assistant principal at Thoreau Middle School. His work as a school-based administrator has provided leadership in multiple settings and across a wide-range of content areas including Mathematics, English, Science, and Career and Technical Education. Dana has worked to enhance student achievement, reduce achievement gaps, bolster student engagement, and increase attendance.  Prior to his school leadership roles, Dana was a science teacher at Liberty Middle School and at Rachel Carson Middle School. Dana received his Certification in Educational Leadership from George Mason University. He also holds a Master of Science in Education in the area Curriculum Instruction and Special Education and holds a Bachelor of Science in Middle School Education, both from Illinois State University. He also holds a MS and BS in Education, both from Illinois State University.
