FCPS schools offer SAT exam opportunities

SAT School Day for Grade 12

FCPS high schools annually host SAT School Day, which is offered at no charge to FCPS twelfth graders each October. The essay option and subject area tests are not available during the SAT School Day.

Accommodations Process for College Board Testing

The accommodations process provides instructions on how to request College Board testing accommodations, including the required input and consent forms (Enclosures 2-3). Testing accommodations are only available for students with a 504 Plan or individualized education program (IEP). To request new or amended College Board accommodations for the October PSAT/NMSQT, return the input and consent forms by the published deadline. Please return forms to your student’s high school.

English Learner (EL) Supports Process for College Board Testing

The EL support process provides instructions for requesting SAT School Day EL testing supports, including the required input and consent forms (Enclosures 5-6). English learners, as defined by state and federal policy, are eligible for testing supports for the SAT School Day. EL supports are temporary and can only be used on the test date for which they have been requested. To request EL Supports for the October SAT School Day, return the input and consent forms by the published deadline. Please return forms to your student’s high school.

SAT Weekend Exams

FCPS schools host SAT exams on weekends throughout the year. Saturday exams are open to any student through registration with College Board, including students attending private schools, home instruction, and other school divisions. Saturday testing allows students to register for the essay option and for subject area tests.
