A Conversation with the International Space Station & Astronaut Kjell Lindgren

Astronaut Kjell Lindgren on the ISS

Astronaut Kjell Lindgren, on board the International Space Station, talks with friends, staff and students from his alma mater, Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax, Virginia. Dr. Lindgren, a graduate of Robinson’s Class of 1991, answers questions from students about life on the space station, the science of space flight, and achieving his goal of becoming an astronaut.

Dr. Lindgren was selected in June 2009 as one of 14 members of the 20th NASA astronaut class. He launched to the International Space Station as part of Expedition 44 on July 22, 2015. He remained on ISS as a member of Expedition 45.

Hosted by Robinson teacher, Bryan Hazard, this program presents a history of the International Space Station, the experiments performed there, and the lessons we learn from space.

Dr. Lindgren and other Expedition 45 crew members returned home on December 11, 2015.
