Westfield HS Students Explore Storytelling

teacher selfie with studentsWestfield High students explored the importance and purpose of storytelling in Larissa Fermin’s English 9 Honors class during Teen Read Week. Students were asked to bring in a copy of their favorite story to share with classmates. They discussed what makes their story an unforgettable one, and the role it has played in their lives. Together, they identified some common threads that run through all great stories. This was the opening activity for the next conceptual unit, the art of storytelling.
