Westfield HS to Host Screening of Angst for Pyramid Families
Westfield High will host a screening of the film Angst on Thursday, November 21, at 6:30 p.m. for Westfield pyramid families. The screening is designed to raise awareness around anxiety and start a dialogue among families and community members. Representatives from community agencies will be available before and after the screening to offer information and resources to attendees. A panel discussion will follow at approximately 7:30 p.m. As a follow up to the community screening, the Westfield sophomore class will have the opportunity to view the movie as a kickoff to the Westfield Cares program, a full-day event focused on the physical and mental well-being of students by educating them about substance abuse, mental health stigmas, and coping skills, on November 25. Students will view Angst, then hear from guest speakers, take mindful movement breaks, and participate in guided table discussions and activities led by facilitators.
