Terraset ES Students Help Save the Planet by Reducing Plastic Use

School News
January 15, 2019

Terraset Elementary students are doing their part to reduce the amount of plastic pollution in the world. Since the beginning of the year, students no longer use single use straws in the cafeteria, saving up to 400 straws each day, or 80,000 straws over a school year.  In addition to Terraset’s straw initiative, students are encouraged to trade disposable water bottles for reusable ones, and to use canvas totes and sacks instead of plastic bags.  Terraset’s students are helping to save the planet and oceans by individual actions that make a big difference.
