Madison High will host a Spanish V Remembrance Project: Celebration of Learning on Thursday, November 8, from 8:15-11:15 a.m. Students have designed ofrendas in the style of Mexico's Day of the Dead, created artwork, or written and recorded original songs or poems about a deceased person who has impacted their lives. Most students have chosen relatives or family friends to celebrate, but others will honor famous individuals whose lives have inspired them. Students will explain their work in English or Spanish, including their connection to this person and the significance of the colors, symbols, and imagery they chose; a list of possible questions will also be available in both Spanish and English as a reference for visitors.
