Spanish 5 Students Host Hispanic Interactive Wax Museum at West Potomac HS
At West Potomac High, Spanish 5 students participated in the school’s fourth Hispanic Interactive Wax Museum in honor of Hispanic American Heritage Month. Using project-based learning, students selected a famous Hispanic figure to represent, then studied and researched that individual and the country he or she is from. Among the famous figures selected were artist Frida Kahlo; Saint Augustine, Fla., founder Pedro Menéndez de Avilés; and New York Yankees baseball player Mariano Rivera.
