Madison HS Students Win Awards at Envirothon

Madison High teamMadison High students won several awards at the Envirothon, a local competition sponsored by Dominion Energy and the Virginia Soil and Water Conservation District. Students compete in five environmental categories (aquatics, wildlife, natural resources-soils, forestry, and a current environmental issue) and give a 20-minute judged presentation on a special topic.  This year's challenge was creating a sustainable future for a Virginia farm. The Madison team of Kana, Abigail, Celeste, Caroline, Simone, and alternate Joey won the aquatics and agriculture topics and came in second in forestry.
