USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program

Fresh fruit and/or vegetable snacks available for students

FCPS Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) will resume participating in the USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) at these four emergency food distribution sites beginning Tuesday, April 21, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

  • Hutchison ES
  • Hybla Valley ES
  • Weyanoke ES

Students are able to receive fresh fruit and/or vegetable snacks, complimenting the daily no-cost breakfasts and lunches offered. 

The FFVP provides an additional source of nourishment to children, while focusing on a wide variety of high quality produce items often sourced from the local food supply, supporting area farmers.
