Cherry Run ES Student Creates Winning KidsPost Patch

Cherry Run Elementary sixth grader Ameera Ali was named the winner of the Washington Post KidsPost mission patch competition. KidsPost challenged its readers to design a patch that shows people what the section is about. Ali created a patch that incorporates reading, thinking, laughing, and learning and her entry won first place.  Ali received space related books, a Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex bag, a stuffed animal astronaut, and a KidsPost T-shirt as prizes for winning the contest.
