Broadway Performer to Speak at Fairfax Academy Career Experience Expo

Fairfax Academy will host a Career Experience Expo on Wednesday, February 13, throughout the school day.  Students will select three workshops from local and global industry professionals, including the Screen Actors Guild-AFTRA; Audi of America; Volkswagen; the History Channel; Cortina Productions; Kendra Scott; the FCPS Office of Communication and Community Relations; Korean Filmography; the Human Factor; George Mason University’s Korean Literature and Studies; the Confucius Institute; the University of Maryland School of Languages; as well as casting agents; a professional photographer; and master classes in Broadway dance, jazz, and hip-hop.  Performer Bryan Terrell Clark will be the special keynote speaker at 9 a.m.  Clark has starred in the Broadway musical Hamilton and the television show Empire, composed music for Mary J. Blige, and performed with celebrities including Michael Buble, Brandy, and Ciara.  Fairfax Academy offers specialized classes in Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Professional Musical Theater, Fashion Careers, Professional Photography, Television and Media Production, Music and Computer Technology, Social Media Marketing, and Dance (which includes Dance 1-4, Hip-Hop dance and Broadway dance).
