Bake for Good Program Comes to McNair Elementary
The Bake for Good program, which teaches students in grades 4-6 the value of giving back to their community while learning to bake bread, comes to McNair Elementary on Tuesday, March 12, beginning at 10 a.m. Representatives from King Arthur Flour, the sponsoring organization, will present the Bake for Good cross-curricular program with three main goals: learn, bake, and share. Students will use practical applications of math, science, and comprehension skills while learning how they can make a positive impact in their local community. Each student will bake two loaves of bread—one to take home, and one to donate to LINK pantry, serving families in need in the western part of the county.
