This year's tests will be administered on Saturday, November 9, 2019, beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending at approximately 12:00 noon. Selecting Your Test Site
The test is offered at 16 locations through Northern Virginia (11 in Fairfax County, three in Loudoun County, one in Arlington County, and one in Prince William County). Applicants must select a test site location within the school division in which they reside (City of Falls Church applicants may test at any site because there is no test site located in the City of Falls Church).

Testing Accommodations for Student With Formal Education Plans
Testing accommodations are available for students who require accommodations (e.g., IEP, 504, Limited English Proficient Student Assessment Participation Plan (LSAPP), or other formal educational plan).
Students who attend public school in a participating school division must have an IEP, 504 plan, or LSAPP that addresses testing accommodations in order to receive testing accommodations on the TJHSST Test.
If your child requires testing accommodations, you must notify the TJHSST Admissions Office at least one week prior to test day. You will need to complete a Request for Accommodations through the TJHSST Admissions Online Application System. Include copies of the portion of the IEP, 504 plan, LSAPP, or other formal written education plans that address testing accommodations.
After you have submitted the required paperwork, the Admissions Office will contact you to confirm the testing accommodation and test date for the applicant. Most testing with accommodations are provided on the primary test day.
Alternate Test Date - Religious
If your child cannot attend the Saturday testing due to religious reasons, you will need to complete a request for alternate testing through the TJHSST Admissions portal. Attach a copy of the required documentation, including an official clergy letter. The Admissions Director will contact you to confirm the alternate test date for the applicant.
Alternate Test Date - Exceptional Circumstance
An alternate test date may be provided only under exceptional circumstances. Family vacations and athletic contests are not exceptional circumstances that would allow an alternate test date. You will need to complete a request for alternate testing through the TJHSST Admissions portal. Include a copy of all supporting documentation. The completed request is due no later than submission of the application. If you are a semifinalist and are requesting an alternate test date, contact the Admissions Office immediately to receive the Alternate Test Day form. The completed request is due one week following the release of decisions for semifinalists.
The Admissions Director will contact you to indicate whether or not the request is approved.
If you wish to request the alternate test date, you must notify the TJHSST Admissions Office as soon as possible in order to review your request.
