Register for Online Campus

FCPS Online Campus delivers courses identical in content to those offered in our traditional classrooms and uses multi-media to engage students. These courses are aligned with the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) and follow the Fairfax County Public Schools Program of Studies.

Student Registration Information

General Registration for a Fairfax County Public Schools Online Campus course requires approval from the local high school counselor. The school counselor will process the registration of each student. If the registration is approved, the student will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to access their course from their online instructor.

To check on the status of a request to register, contact the local high school counseling office. Students may take up to two free online courses for reasons such as the late start option, to resolve face to face scheduling conflicts, personal reasons including health and others approved by counselor on the Online Campus. Those taking any online class beyond the standard seven high school courses will be charged $680 (or $340 for reduced lunch or $68 for free lunch status). Transportation arrangements for a student on this modified schedule are the responsibility of the family. Students who wish to pursue this option should indicate their intent at the time of course registration and plan closely with their school counselor. Registration Checklist

  • Students enrolling in an online course must first complete an Online Technology Checklist.
  • Students should complete and return the registration form to his or her school counselor
  • Students must obtain permission from his or her school counselor and Director of Student Services
  • Forms signed by the Director of Student Services and parents should be emailed to onlinecampus@fcps.edu
