SENIOR PHOTO OPPORTUNITY - June 15 and 16

All high schools in FCPS are scheduling individual graduate photo opportunities sometime in June, with each graduate wearing their cap and gown along with appropriate cords, medals, and diploma.  A limited number of family members will be permitted to join the graduate. Please know that we have decided to utilize an outside location to promote safety and health in accordance with County guidelines regarding COVID-19. We are currently eliciting feedback from senior class officers and their sponsors to select the exact location of campus where we can take these pictures in an efficient manner. We will be sending additional details about this opportunity as soon as details are finalized.

CELEBRATION VIDEO

A Class of 2020 celebration video will be produced.  Seniors will be contacted soon to submit information and photos for the video.  The video will be professionally produced and distributed at no cost to all members of the Class of 2020. The virtual celebration will live stream in June. Students will be able to download their personal slide with text and video clip as a keepsake.

IN-PERSON GRADUATION CEREMONY NEXT SCHOOL YEAR

An in-person ceremony will be scheduled in the fall at Chantilly HS if conditions are such that the event would not pose a health risk to students or staff.  A decision about a fall ceremony will be announced by FCPS leaders around Labor Day.  If a fall in-person ceremony cannot be held for health and safety reasons, then we will consider scheduling the face to face ceremony in the winter or next spring.

Counselor and Clinical Team Support

During this difficult time, our Student Services teams continue to be available to help support our staff, students, and families.  Please see the attached contact information for counselors and the clinical team. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have students who you are concerned about.  If you have sensitive information that you do not want to send in an email you can simply say you have a student concern you would like to address and include an phone number where a counselor or clinical team member can reach you.  Student Services will also have virtual office hours listed in our distance learning weekly calendar.
