Instruction

Distance Learning packets are sent weekly to support student learning at home. The learning packets began arriving in all PreK-8 student mailboxes the week of March 30. As students receive the Week 4 packets, they will continue to have an opportunity to learn new material and practice essential skills. The distance learning packets help ensure students have access to appropriate learning materials for their grade level courses.    As of today, 8,550 “go paperless” requests.

Report Cards

Report cards for this year’s 3rd and 4th quarters will be produced centrally for all secondary schools, except for those parents and/or guardians who have opted to “Go Paperless.” Third quarter grades should be finalized on Friday, May 8 at 11:59 p.m. and will be visible in ParentVUE and StudentVUE on Saturday, May 9 at 6 a.m.. We anticipate the printed report cards will be provided to the postal service by May 23.

Parents and/or guardians can take advantage of the paperless option, by logging into ParentVUE, then going to “My Account” and selecting "Go Paperless!" This is the only way to keep a paper report card from being generated for students at the secondary level.

Access in ParentVUE and StudentVUE to view the grade book and report card modules will be closed from Fri, May 1 at 4 p.m. until Saturday, May 9 at 6 a.m..

Access in ParentVUE and StudentVUE to view the report card module will be closed from Fri, May 1 at 4 p.m. until Saturday, May 9 at 6 a.m..

Crestwood ES

Hello Crestwood families!

On Monday, April 27, 2020, we will resume Virtual Learning. Students will be using a Blackboard Collaborate Link sent to their GMail email accounts. All students have been provided with unique login links for our Blackboard session. The links have been emailed to students’ FCPS Gmail accounts. You can log in to those accounts through the FCPS G Suite page. The username/password used for logging in is the same information used to access the FCPS Blackboard page – your child’s 7-digit ID number and password. We encourage you to review the steps outlined in this video for help in finding and using this new link. The same, student-specific link will be used for all classroom instruction and teacher office hours moving forward.

Distance Learning Update April 24

We've been working very hard behind the scenes and are happy to announce that our Distance Learning live classes will be back on Monday, April 27.

Thank you for your continued patience as we make adjustments to ensure a safe environment. We truly hope this is the last time we need to change the log-in procedure. This new procedure allows students to log on directly to Blackboard Collaborate Ultra (BBCU) without needing to go through Blackboard (24-7). Below is the information that you need for Monday, April 27:

Silverbrook ES

Dear Silverbrook Families,

We are writing to let you know that our teachers will be using Google Meet as a tool to connect with your student in real time. Google Meet sessions created by teachers will be accessible to your student through their teacher’s Google Classroom located in your student’s G Suite for Education account. Many Silverbrook students have been using Google Classroom and are very familiar with this software. Further information around how your student will access teacher created Google Meet sessions will be communicated directly to your student by her/his teacher.
