This dog lover began his career writing humor columns. Now young readers can enjoy the award-winning series A Dog’s Purpose Puppy Tales adapted from his New York Times bestseller A Dog’s Purpose novels.

In a Publisher’s Weekly article, W. Bruce Cameron wrote “I am a newspaper columnist and a professional screenwriter, but my real love is the novel, for all the room it has for characters to come alive and breathe and face their challenges.”

During the live webcast, the author talks about his books and his writing process. He answers e-mail questions and phone calls from students and talks with students from West Springfield Elementary School (FCPS) via Skype. A video segment highlights the Positivity Project at West Springfield Elementary School and how students apply the positive character traits to books written by W. Bruce Cameron.
