FCPS Extends Enrollment Deadline to July 15; Superintendent to Propose Starting School Year September 8

Fairfax County Public Schools has extended the deadline for parents to choose how they want their children to return to school this fall for the beginning of the 2020-21 school year. Responses are due no later than Wednesday, July 15. Additionally, Superintendent Scott S. Brabrand announced that he will ask the School Board to delay the start of school until after Labor Day, which will be Tuesday, September 8.

FCPS to Host Virtual Town Hall on July 6

Join FCPS Superintendent Scott S. Brabrand, Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services Sloan Presidio, and director of the office of special education procedural support Jane Strong for an FCPS virtual Town Hall on Monday, July 6, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. A Spanish language Town Hall will be held on Wednesday, July 8.
