Leave Options for Employees Impacted by COVID-19

 

Types of Leave

Contracted full-time and part-time employees accrue sick, personal, and/or annual paid leave days. 

 

Extended Absences

All employees who have worked for FCPS for at least 12 months may be eligible for an absence qualified under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Some employees may also qualify for a longer unpaid Leave of Absence (LOA). You can view more information about these extended absences here. 

 

Disability Benefits

The Integrated Disability Management (IDM) Program consists of workers' compensation, short-term disability, and long-term disability. As part of the IDM program, Sedgwick and Metlife oversee employee disability benefits, release, and return to work, if applicable. Information about these programs can be found here.
