Fairfax County Public Schools will be presenting its sixth annual Mental Health and Wellness Conference on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at Fairfax High School from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to stay for Inova’s Act on Addiction Summit, which will be held from 12:45 p.m. to 4 p.m.

FCPS is proud to partner with Inova and Kaiser Permanente on this year’s conference. The morning will focus on social and emotional learning with a keynote address given by Dr. Marc Brackett, founding director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, on unlocking the power of emotions to achieve optimum well-being and success. A special session for high school students, the Our Minds Matter Teen Summit, will take place in the morning as well. Inova is proud to host the Act on Addiction Summit in the afternoon. This is a community conversation about addiction in our community.

Breakout sessions, exhibit tables, and resources will be available to all attendees throughout the day. There is no cost for attending this event. Lunch will also be provided, courtesy of Inova.

Register now for the FCPS Mental Health and Wellness Conference and the Inova Act on Addiction Summit.
